SOFT's client located in Hicksville, NY is looking for a Site Coordinator - Capital Construction for a long term contract assignment.
Situation in organization - The Site Coordinator will have a technical background that aids in their development in cost engineering, scheduling and estimating.
- The candidate will work closely under the supervision/mentorship of a senior team member. The Site Coordinator reports to a Project Controls Manager.
Job Description- Assigned to projects to review, coordinate and summarize the activities of cost control, planning and scheduling, document control and estimating.
- May also assume other commercial duties as designated by the Project Manager with the concurrence of the Manager of Project Control.
Key Activities and responsibilities- This role is suited for those entering the Project Controls profession and have limited exposure to the skills and practices of the profession.
- The Site Coordinator will provide administrative duties and may take on cost or scheduling services as directed.
- Prepare project reports, dashboards, KPIs,
- Review project documentation
- Assist Project Controls staff and Project Manager in gathering and evaluating information
- Manage project costs via existing cost reporting methods
- Learn Time Phased Cost Forecasting, Subcontractor Invoicing, Change Order management
- Purchase Order and Contract Review
- Learn RFI Management and Change Order Management
- Prepare periodic progress charts and reports as directed
- Develop and manage project schedules using Critical Path Method (CPM)

- Identify and analyze potential project problems.
- Recommend corrective action and follow-up on recommendations.
- Promote communication and teamwork within group and project.
- Special projects as assigned.
- Experience working in both a Home Office and Field environment.
- Travel to client sites as needed
Required Education/Qualifications /Work experience - 0 - 5 years of professional experience
- Bachelor’s degree in a technical field: engineering, project management, construction management.
- Client values memberships in a professional organization such as AACE, ISPE etc…
- Professional credentialing is strongly encouraged: CCT or CCP, CST or CSP, EVP, CMIT or CCM, PMP, EIT
Demonstrated Competencies (Describe behaviors necessary for role) - Software skills: MS Office Products at a minimum, industry related software products are desired (SAP, Primavera P6)
- Progressive ability, capacity, and aptitude in administration to plan, organize, supervise, and coordinate technical work and to obtain cooperation from others
