SOFT's client located in New York, NY is looking for a Market Data Developer - TREP / RMDS for a long term contract assignment.
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of Unix/Linux Shell and Perl.
- Strong Unix systems knowledge
- 5+ years of development in Market Data Domain (real time and reference data).
- 5+ years of development experience using RMDS or TREP.
- 5+ years of development experience in FDM environments i.e. Asset Control.
- 5+ years of SQL development skills (RDBMS).
- 2 years of Cloud experience for market data application
- 3+ years of Java or C/C++ skills.
Preferred: - 3+ years of Windows development.
- 3+ years of testing and technical writing skills.
Responsibilities: - Works closely with Technical architects, business analysts, and development team members to understand business requirements that drive the analysis and design and implementation of quality data and technical solutions.
- Involved in the full systems life cycle and is responsible for writing technical specifications, designing, coding, testing, implementing, maintaining and supporting application software that is delivered on time and within budget.
- Makes recommendations towards the development of new code or reuse of existing code.
- Work with database and systems engineering to improve the application performance.
- Responsibilities may also include participation in component and data architecture design, performance monitoring, and prototyping.
- Has experience in systems analysis, design and development, and solid understanding of development, quality assurance, and integration methodologies in the Market data domain.
