SOFT's client, located in Newark, NJ, needs a ProofPoint Cyber Security Engineer for a long term contract role.  This role is temporarily remote due to COVID.

This position requires an experienced, hands-on technical Engineer performing cyber security functions and maintaining proof point systems. Manages information security technologies such as email protection, Single Sign On, Multi Factor Authentication. 

Responsibilities:
  • Familiar with email protection from threats including Phish, BEC, imposter and others
  • Responds to email and other security incidents
  • Familiar with MX records, DNS, Active Directory, SSO, SAML
  • Implementation of email security standards such as SPF,DKIM and DMARC
  • Enhance security of email infrastructure by implementing controls to manage and mitigate risks
  • Analysis and implementation of perimeter email security and email routing solutions
Required skills:
  • Experience with ProofPoint Cloud Services
  • DMARC, DKIM, SPF, S/Mime, and ProofPoint TAP, to prevent BEC attacks such as phishing
  • of 3-5 or more years of experience in email security
  • Works independently with little or no supervision.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to explain technical concepts to the business users in the context of business requirements.
  • Maintains a solid working knowledge of Information Security principles and practices.
  • Experience architecting and implementing email security solutions
Desired Skills:
  • ISC2 Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) or equivalent
  • Security certifications in incident response, cyber investigation, forensics, or threat hunting.
  • Experience in scripting using Powershell or Python
  • Advanced Knowledge with Kerberos,OAuth,SAML,SCIM,OIDC and other AuthN/Z methods
  • Experience with SSO,Adapative MFA, Identity as a Service(IDaas)
  • Broad knowledge of information systems including Windows security, network security, systems development, communication networks, security software/hardware and operating systems other than Windows.
