SOFT's client located Remotely is looking for a Oracle OEM Production Support for a long term contract assignment.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Day to day Oracle Enterprise Manager (OEM) Support
  • Provides high level technical support, database problem management, change management and maintenance on systems.
  • OEM role and user security monitoring and enforcement
  • Assistance with OEM customization (primarily reporting)
  • Performs problem analysis for complex configurations of critical databases.
  • Performs complex installation, configuration, customization, and tuning. Provides input on answers to technical questions and problems while adhering to standards and procedures.
  • Assists in strategic planning and database architecture and design.
  • Makes recommendations on functional and business requirements.
  • Participates in project activities and provides technical assistance for assigned projects.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.
  • Possesses the ability to adapt to our culture and learn the way we manage and support our systems.
Position Requirements:
  • Experience with High-Availability (HA) configuration and failover
  • Knowledge: Comprehensive knowledge pertaining to concepts and principles in functional area. General knowledge of department/business lines, Reserve Banks, and / or System operations, policies, procedures, and technologies.
  • Communications: Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, creativity, attention to detail, and oral and written communications skills tailored for the intended audience.
  • Risk Management: [The individual] is responsible for understanding and applying risk management discipline in decision making and contributing to his or her function`s risk management.
  • Decision Making: Works under direction and guidance in planning details of procedures and methods to attain definite objectives. Makes decisions within established or widely accepted standards. Achieves assigned/planned results by decisions and actions based on professional methods, training, business principles, and practical experience.
Technical Qualifications:
  • In depth knowledge and work experience with Oracle Enterprise Manager (OEM)
  • Installing and configuring OEM
  • Administration, preferred experience with 13c
  • Maintenance and patching (OMS, OMR, agent)
  • Diagnostics experience
  • BI Publisher experience
  • Security and configuration and enforcement
  • Preferred knowledge of Oracle Exadata
  • In depth knowledge and work experience installing and configuring Oracle Relational Database Management System (RDBMS)
  • In depth knowledge and work experience performing database monitoring and tuning
  • Expert knowledge and work experience with
  • Database upgrade and patching
  • Backup and recovery mechanisms of Oracle using RMAN
  • Database security
  • Database design, database packages and structures
  • SQL and PL/SQL
  • Expert knowledge and work experience with Oracle Clusterware (CRS) concepts, administration, and troubleshooting.
  • Work experience required
  • Supporting Patch Set Update/Release Update (PSU/RU) patching
  • Data Guard configuration, switchover, and failover
  • Oracle Enterprise Manger (OEM) administration
  • Experience/knowledge in AIX/Linux systems, Unix, networking, and storage
  • Experience in Windows Operating System
