SOFT's client located in New York, NY is looking for a Core Java Developer - Spring for a long term contract assignment.

Responsibilities:
- Designs, develops, and implements web-based Java applications to support business requirements.
- Follows approved life cycle methodologies, creates design documents, and performs program coding and testing.
- Resolves technical issues through debugging, research, and investigation.
- Requires a bachelor's degree in area of specialty and 2-4 years of experience in the field or in a related area.
- Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field.
- Relies on experience and judgement to Design, develop, and implement complex web-based Java components, applications, and micro-services to support business requirements
- Work with Enterprise Architecture to design robust, reliable, and performance components and applications
- Follow rigorous, approved lifecycle methodologies, create design documents, and perform Java coding and testing
- Resolve technical issues through debugging, research, and investigation.
- Research and implement best practices that will provide higher quality, and increase predictability of solution delivery
- Uphold and implement the highest secure coding standards and practices
- Research new Java, Spring, web, and cloud technologies to remain abreast of current and emerging trends
- Recognized as an elite individual contributor and subject matter expert Able to work without supervision with latitude for independent judgment
- Comfortable presenting directly to business and technical audiences
- Able to write professional-level technical documentation
- Able to serve as team lead developer
