SOFT's client, located in Syracuse, NY (hybrid) is looking for a recruiter for a long term contract assignment. Experience working with Collective Bargaining employee populations is required.
 
Job Purpose:
To execute recruitment strategies and full lifecycle recruitment process to hire top talent for the organization through sourcing and assessing applicants.
Supervisory/Interpersonal- Experience Required
• Strong communication, relationship building and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to adapt approach and consider what is important to the audience by tailoring message accordingly to source talent and promote the organization's brand.
• Proven skills in sourcing candidates using a variety of methods, e.g. database searches, internet job postings, campus recruitment, cold calling, candidate referrals and networking.

Key Accountabilities:
• Develop, execute and drive the implementation of talent acquisition plans and strategies, assuring a qualified, diverse pool of candidates to fill open positions as well as talent gaps identified through the succession planning process.
• Attract, develop and maintain a “ready now” candidate pool through such means as continuous review of resumes, cold calling recommended external candidates, and career fairs.
- This position will also mainly cover facilitation of candidate background checks and drug screen process and completing necessary paperwork.
- This position will be assisting various recruiters across NY and MA.
- This job will also be involved in working directly with candidates and hiring managers.
- Provide follow-up correspondence to candidates on recruitment status. Update candidate records and job postings in applicant tracking system.
- Facilitate new hire on-boarding paperwork.
- Potential to conduct candidate phone screens and make job offers.
- Other tasks and projects, as assigned and needed.
• Screen candidates to ascertain fit to available position using behavioral and competency-based interview methodologies.
• Drive results utilizing metrics (i.e., time to fill, testing, retention) to assess performance of recruitment strategies in a fast paced and high volume environment.
• Design an efficient network and provide required training and perform various talent retention activities.
• Assist with the development and implementation of innovative, cost effective and consistent strategic workforce plans to meet the staffing requirements of the business functions via internal and external applicants.

Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required
• Minimum of 1 year recruitment experience required with a track record of success in a high volume, fast paced corporate environment within HR
• Knowledge of applicant tracking systems, OFCCP, federal, state and local laws and regulations capability requirements
• Capable of analyzing collective bargaining agreements to ensure recruitment practices align with intent, spirit and terms of contract
• Proficiency in data analytics and Excel
• Must have knowledge and experience working with represented workforce (Collective Bargaining Agreement) employees
