SOFT's client, located in NYC (hybrid), is looking for a candidate for a long term contract assignment.
The selected candidate is responsible for meeting all regulatory requirements (code) mandated requirements relative to a plant operating, maintenance and emergency procedures. Also, complying with the company’s Process Safety Program including the 12 Risk Control Standards as they apply to LNG plant procedures.
Position Responsibilities (including but not limited to):
• Develop an action plan to determine timeline of plant procedure updates
• Procedural updates shall be accurate and comprehensive
• Review existing procedures and identify gaps and improvement areas in the procedures
• Work with the LNG Operations team in updating the procedures
• Engage external parties as necessary to drive updates, including but not limited to vendors or other engineering contractors
• Set review meeting with all stakeholders on updates
• Set cadence meetings to provide updates to the team
• Update procedures to include team feedback and comments as necessary
• Provide final version of the procedure
• Complete forms as required for approval and publishing the final draft of the procedure update
Knowledge & Experience Requirements:
A Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field, or 5 years’ practical experience.
Knowledge and experience in LNG processes preferred.
Ideal Candidates Will Have:
• Ability to pass a physical/drug test
• Understanding of plant process
• Knowledge of CFR193, NFPA59A, FDNY codes and standards
• Process Safety experience/knowledge
• Understanding of LNG plant operations and maintenance functions is desirable.
• Must have strong organizational skills to implement field verification program, report on the results and provide resolutions to findings
• Must have the skills to work alone and as a member of a team
• Must have excellent computer skills
• Must have the ability to build effective, respectful, working relationships
• Strong verbal and writing skills to ensure effective communication
• Strong engineering, project management and analytical skills
